A proactive monitoring solution keeps you stay apprised of problems and identify issues before the customer has to call. Having the system alert your support staff helps you either resolve the issue before the customer realizes or at least quickly Diagnosis the issue saves money in costly support time and mitigate potential DownTime.
Users can set thresholds for specific characteristics and be alerted for critical or warning conditions. Automated alerts via email or SMS messaging to notify users of an issue. Scripts can be configured to run when a test fails or a metric exceeds its threshold, this can be used to repair the system, or gather logs. You can run monitoring reports showing status over time in tabular formats.
Example - If a disk is filling up you can set a script to truncate the logs. The system will still alert you since we dont want to mask the real problem.
