Pano2exe

Pano2exe is intended to convert (but not create) panoramic JPEG or .bmp images into stand-alone executable programs. Usually it uses 360° panoramas but also can accept less than 360° views. The panoramas are displayed using Pano2exe built-in Cylindrical viewer. There are several advantages in converting panoramas to self-executable files (*.exe) instead of distributing them as QuickTime movies: 1. Quality. JPEG images do not display color banding. So skies and other backgrounds can be shown with excellent definition. 2. The users may be able to modify the image zoom, or you may disallow uses from resizing your panoramas. The maximum height used to display the image is only limited by the screen height. That means that one image that has 800 pixels of height will be displayed with a maximum zoom of 92.7% on a typical 1024x768 screen. 3. Capture View is a unique software program. The main window is transparent. It is like looking through a camera lens. Anything displayed on your computer screen, whether it be an application window, document, image or icon, can be captured! When the capture button is selected, a snap shot or capture will be taken similar to the way a camera would work. All captured images, in addition to be automatically saved, are automatically copied to your computers "clipboard" and made available to all your applications for immediate use. New Features 5.2 Cropping: You can now use Capture View 'Boxes' to create your cropped images. This is a much improved method for cropping that allows you to crop images in one of four differenct shapes--ellipse, circle, rectangle, and a rectangle with rounded edges. To create a cropped image you first need to take a screen capture. Once the larger screen capture is taken, you can then create a 'Box' by left clicking on the image with your mouse and dragging. See further below on how to edit and change the shapes of boxes. Once the box is created, you then can click on the 'Box' camera button or right click the box and select the camera button in the context menu. Once the button is selected, the image is made, saved to your selected folder as well as the slide strip, and automatically placed onto your computers clipboard. At this point you can further change the cropped image by adjusting the transparency and then selecting the save button from the 'Box' context menu. Text and Watermarks: You can also use Capture View 'Boxes' to create text and watermarks. See further below for information on how to add text to the 'Boxes'. Important: Selecting the 'Save Image Edit' button on the main tool bar is different than selecting the save button from the 'Box' context menu.
