BrothersoftEditor: Orizon v1.20, planned to be released the next 28th of August, 2009 will be very different from version released the last November.
A big change is that Orizon will be engine based. There will be four main engines that implements org.owasp.orizon.code.Engine abstract class. These engines are:

* Mirage - for application modeling;
* dusk - for rule parsing
* jericho - for static Analysis
* twilight - for source code crawling

All the engines will be freecc based. Freecc is a great java Parser Generator written by Jonathan Revusky, it takes a grammar as argument and generate a bunch of java files able to parse something written with that grammar. This is amazing, and indeed it is the second big change.

Please note that at least two intermediate releases will be announced along the way:

* a 1.18 version will be released the 21st 25th of May, 2009 and it will be included for the first time in the Owasp LiveCD;
* a 1.19 version will be released the 24th of July, 2009

Starting up with version 1.1x

If you want to start looking at the source code and having fun playing with it, follow these instruction:

* download the latest development version: svn co https://orizon.svn.sf.net/svnroot/orizon/trunk orizon
* read the README file or launch ant and compile it!
* hack the code and ant it! :-)

Please note that you need the log4j.jar library (release 1.2.14 or later) to be present in the same Orizon directory.

If you want to play just with Orizon to Review your code, without playing with Orizon source code, you can download latest binary version. After you unpacked the tarball, follow the instructions contained in the README file, or just launch bin/orizon.sh and star analyze your code.
When launched, Orizon will spawn the Orizon Shell (osh for friends). Intended to be used by security reviewers, osh will permit to interact with the engine with the power of a shell. you can free download Orizon 1.18 now.
