By BS Editor: OraEdit PRO is an editor and debugger for Oracle PLSQL source code. With OraEdit PRO, code can be edited and compiled directly from the database.
Any PL/SQL object, including triggers, packages, procedures and functions, can be run in the OraEdit PRO Debug(TM) mode, with all variables available for view. Runtime value changes are supported. OraEdit PRO includes a powerful Code Completion engine (IntelliSense) that assists in object editing and creation by providing floating lists with keywords, objects, and fields. An advanced Tip feature proposes words based on the current activity. OraEdit PRO also provides assistance using packages, procedures and functions by providing a floating window marking the required parameters and types, as well as highliting the current parameter.
The OraEdit SQL Worksheet allows you to execute any sql statement and examine the results in a grid. Any DML (data manipulation language) scripts can be executed in this fashion, as well as DDL (data definition language) scripts.
OraEdit also provides a Table Browser that allows you to view all records within any specific table, you can also manipulate the retrieval of records using filters, as well as updating and inserting records directly from the grid.
OraEdit PRO includes pre-defined interfaces to External Version Control systems, allowing easy Check In, Check Out, Lock, Unlock, Add, Remove and Labeleling of source code directly from OraEdit PRO. Additional features are provided, including advanced database search, object export, objects comparisons, object dependency views (both Uses and Used By), and quick compile of all invalid objects.
