The layout is based on a proposal by the Keyboard Working Group reporting to the Finnish national Steering Group on Cultural Diversity Issues, Kotoistus. It is intended for easy typing of various languages including Finnish, Swedish, Northern Sámi, Inari Sámi, Skolt Sámi, Southern Sámi, Lule Sámi, Danish, Norwegian, and Romany as spoken in Finland. We are also trying to accommodate easy entry of names in other languages with Latin characters. The most important additions for Finnish are š and ž, as well as en dash “–“. you can free download Multilingual Keyboard 1.0 now.
