Over the last century, Mr. Sargent has been claimed as an artistic son by England, France and the United States. This after having been derided and criticized by art critics in all three nations for his refusal to follow the techniques of the "accepted" schools of art of his time. Even the subjects of his famous portraits, who would seek him out to commission him for their portraits, were many times surprised, and sometimes shocked, by the final results of his work. Though Mr. Sargent was best known for his portaiture, this screensaver includes several of his other paintings. Additional features:
