Hummer Windows 7 Theme is dedicated to the Hummer brand of sports trucks/SUVs by General Motors. It was created on the request of Jack Daniel here. Hummer was a brand of trucks marketed since 1992 by AM General but in 1998 General Motors bought the brand name and marketed the Hummer H1, Hummer H2 and Hummer H3 on its name. The Hummer H1 is a civilian off-road vehicle based on the M998 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (or Humvee), which was created by AM General. The Hummer H2 is an SUV and SUT that was marketed by General Motors under the Hummer brand. The Hummer H3 was a CrossOver SUV/Sport Utility Truck from General Motors’ Hummer division introduced in 2005 based on the GMT355 underpinning the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon Compact Pickup trucks. Produced at GM’s Shreveport, Louisiana factory and the Port Elizabeth plant in South Africa the H3 was the smallest of the Hummer models, and the first to be built by GM. It was available either as a traditional midsize SUV or as a midsize pickup known as the H3T. Hummers was seen as a tough vehicles and they also became somewhat synonymous with many macho celebrities like Arnold Swarzenegger who with his wife once owned 8 Hummers. However, due to various problems including General Motors bankruptcy and poor fuel economy combined with rising fuel prices worldwide led General Motors to finally shut down the Hummer SUV brand last year. This Windows 7 Theme contains Hummer Backgrounds of 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution and will fit very well into computer screens of all sizes.
