Grain Generator is a Photo & Image software developed by Richard Rosenman. After our trial and test, the software is proved to be official, secure and free. Here is the official description for Grain Generator:

Brothersoft Editor: Grain Generator is a Photoshop filter that will generate varying types of grain on your image.
DESCRIPTION:
This filter will generate varying types of grain on your image.
Amount: This variable controls the amount of grain introduced. You generally want to keep this quite low, near the Default value of 10 or even less. Film Grain, depending on the stock, is usually fairly subtle so cranking the amount to high numbers should only be used for intentional creative effects.
Standard: The grain is derived from a range of random -Amount to random +Amount. This is the most common type used.
Additive: The grain is derived from a range of 0 to random +Amount. Additive will invariably brighten your image, so it may be more beneficial when working with dark images.
Subtractive: The grain is derived from a range of 0 to random -Amount. Subtractive will invariably darken your image, so it may be more beneficial when working with bright images.
Multiplied: The grain is derived from a range of current pixel value * random -Amount to current pixel value * random +Amount.
Square Root: The grain is derived from a range of the square root of (current pixel value * random -Amount) to square root of (current pixel value * random +Amount).
Minimum: The grain is derived from a range of random minimum current pixel value or -Amount to random minimum current pixel value or +Amount. This type of grain is identical to "Standard" except darker areas produce darker grain. Swap between the two to see the difference.
Sine: The grain is derived from a range of Sine of random -Amount to Sine of random +Amount.
Brightness: The grain is derived from the brightness of the current pixel value. The brighter the area, the more grain produced.
Darkness: The grain is derived from the darkness of the current pixel value. The darker the area, the more grain produced.
