Brothersoft Editor: Trial is just your average defeat-enemies-collect-powerups-shoot-em-up. Control the rocket with the arrowkeys, fire with space.

The interesting part about Trial is that no level layouts, enemies or weapons are hard-coded into the game. Rather, they are defined with XML and loaded at run-time. It is thus a rather simple example of an almost completely scriptable engine.
