Swapping with a Purpose
On the surface, The Rise of Atlantis looks like any number of the other match-three puzzle games out there on the market, but it is actually quite different from the rest of the crowd. Some challenge you to collect as many matching sets as you can. Others make you responsible for changing the colors of the tiles underneath the game pieces. With this title, though, you have a very specific purpose that will challenge even the greatest strategist. Embedded within the Grid of Gems, Jewels, and relics are special pieces of an ancient Artifact. The key is to remove all the superfluous pieces sitting beneath it so that the artifact segment can be released from the bottom of the field. After collecting all the pieces -- you can keep track of your progress with the large indicator at the top-left of the display -- you are treated with a magical presentation of what that hidden item is.
