In The College Years, you assume the role of the head coach of a college football team. Your job is to turn your school's football program into a college gridiron Juggernaut. You have at your fingertips the ability to set team lineups and game plans. You also can manage your student athletes' time, both on and off the field.

Most importantly, you can replenish your roster each year by recruiting from a list of top prospects generated from more than 14,000 high schools. Recruiting is the life's blood of any college football program. You'll decide who plays for your school. You can go after the blue-chippers, or you can target players who will perform well in the classroom. If you like, you can field an offensive line made up entirely of Nuclear Engineering majors. If they're smart, you'll boost your school's reputation in that major, and be rewarded when the top athletes who want to study that field look to your school.

You'll be graded as head coach, too. Each year, you'll receive scores in six categories. Score well, and you could receive coaching offers from the top schools in the country. Score poorly, and you'll be asking the lowest-ranking teams for work.
