Real-Time Previews
FMV is DirectX based - This means it will automatically take advantage of any hardware it finds on your graphics card to speed up rendering and previewing. This allows FMV to preview transitions, effects and titles in real-time even on high definition (HD) projects. If you don't have the latest graphics card, just turn down the preview size and when you are happy with the movie, then render in HD.
Multiple output profiles
FMV will output video with a range of predefined target profiles such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Xbox360. There are also several predefined high-definition profiles such as 1080p and 720p. You can however define your own profile with differing Frame rates and Aspect ratios.
Easy to use
FMV is a cut-based editor and does not have a timeline. You apply effects, transitions and titles to each cut and not to the timeline as a whole. This often makes it easier to deal with Complex cuts as each change to the video is dealt with separately in the interface and you do not need to deciper symbols on a timeline. To preview your source 'cut' just click it in the cut list. To preview your new video with transitions and effects, just click the 'Preview' button on the main screen. You can also scrub through the preview with the slider below.
Get Creative
As all FMV's effects and transitions are real-time, lining up effects and transitions are easy. You actually see what you will get, not a pictorial representation. FMV's editor is a very creative environment due to the speed with which you can try ideas out.
