eGuinness is the first publicly licensed implementation to employ the Hangover Omitting Pint System (or HOPS), developed in cooperation with the University of York.
Put simply, eGuinness is a program which simulates the visual and social effects of alcohol. The user can drink at his/her own pace (sip, gulp or down) and the program will, using Complex biomechanical algorithms, determine the state of sobriety. It operates in two modes; quiet drink (left) and verbose (below left), has user-customisable outlook settings (pessimist / optimist) and can also be blended into the background when you've had enough (below right).
