BrothersoftEditor: To provide a usable communication software in Java.


1. GUI for both client and server,
2. Menu, Toolbar and Tooltips to enhance the GUI and make commands easy accessible to the user,
3. Both server and client saves vital information like port, hostname or IP in a ‘;’ separated text-based configuration file, and therefore, running the server or client has noting to do with those information, which makes the execution of the program easy,
4. Ability to choose a unique nickname,
5. Displays nicknames of other Chat clients during public or private chat sessions to easily identify the speaker,
6. Text Formatting (e.g. Bold, Italics, Underlines and usage of colors) tools to make the chatting experience Colorful as well as enhancing the UI,
7. A list to show online clients both at server and client and update it as soon as a client joins to or parts from the server,
8. Private messaging between users in separate tabs,
9. IP address display at the beginning of any new private messaging session,
10. Block/Ignore user,
11. Kick out client from the server,
12. Multithreading,
13. Transfers files between clients. (This feature is partially implemented in this version and considered Buggy by the developer.)
