Docx, xlsx and pptx files are in Reality conventionally zipped collections of XML files. File corruption can occur to the zip or the XML parts. Zip Repair is occasionally useful for recovering text/data from these files. Usually however the native extraction abilities of this program without any repair is the best that can be done.
This program works to recover text and data where MS office fails because MS Office has both poor zip corruption recovery and still strict XML format requirements. Corrupt Office Extractor has neither of these problems.
