BigSpeed Net is a peer-to-peer application. This simply means that there is no central server in charge of hosting files. Instead, anybody running BigSpeed Net could be a client connected to a server and could also act as a server (if the server is enabled). This decentralizes the network structure taking away the need for a central server.
This could raise some questions, like: with no central server how it finds the other peers at all? The answer is simple: each running instance of BigSpeed Net sends the current machine's IP address to the specified E-mail account. Any running instance of BigSpeed Net on another machine can read the Posted IP address and can use it to establish a direct connection Between each other. SMART, isn't it?
