The program creates, edits and saves many different file formats and allows quality conversions Between them such as BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, TGA, PCX, ICO, CUR, ANI, WMF and EMF, etc. It also handles import/export of AVI, MNG, APNG, PSD, JP2/J2K, PICT and JNG, etc.
Integrated into AZ Paint is a full version of Animated GIF Editor, geared for use by professionals and hobbyists alike. One may create an animated GIF file from scratch or by assembling pre-drawn frames. The functions range from extraction to rearrangement of frames, from palette editing to BPP changing, from image enhancing to series resizing; and from modifying settings to minimizing the animated GIF file size, etc.
While equiped with various Paint tools such as Brush, Line, ARC, Bezier, Rectangle, Oval, Lasso, Fill, Spray and Replace, etc., the program also provides a whole array of sophisticated effect filters including Brighten, Darken, Soften, Sharpen, Fade, Contrast, Grayscale, Sepia, Cast, Emboss, Engrave, Tile, Gradient, Color Theme, Trace Edges, Perspective and Bevel Image, bLend In and Texture, etc.
